Is Invisalign the Right Treatment for You?

If you think your teeth are scarier than the headless horseman at Halloween, it might be time to talk to Dr. Chapman about getting started with Invisalign® orthodontic treatment.

Invisalign works by moving your teeth little by little using clear plastic aligners that are custom-made to fit over your teeth. It’s a treatment that is often preferred by adults – and teens – as it is a more “invisible” and comfortable way to straighten teeth than traditional brackets and wires.

How does it work?

First, we schedule a consultation with Dr. Chapman to see if Invisalign is right for you.

Then, if it is and you choose to move forward, we use a iTero 3D digital scanner to make digital models of your teeth. That means no more boo-ey (we mean gooey!) impressions to deal with. Using the digital technology is also cool because you’ll get to see how your teeth will look at the end of treatment.

We send the digital models to Invisalign where they make the aligners (molded plastic trays) that you’ll wear all the time – except when you eat, drink, and brush and floss your teeth. Based on Dr. Chapman’s treatment plan, you’ll receive multiple aligners at a time. You’ll come and see us about every 12 weeks to receive your next set of aligners.

How fast does Invisalign work?

Treatment generally takes between 9-18 months. Dr. Chapman has been an Invisalign provider since Invisalign became available in 1999, so with that much experience, he can offer you a plan that is the fastest and most efficient for you.

Most of our adult patients receive Invisalign plans that include daily aligner changes. Some people wear daily contacts. Our patients have daily aligners – you’ll have a fresh one every day. Since beginning daily aligner treatment plans, Dr. Chapman has seen fantastic results – faster movement of the teeth, fewer refinements at the end, and happier patients with big smiles!

How do I get started?

It’s super simple. You can give us a call at 503-659-5000 to schedule a consultation or try our FREE ONLINE Virtual Consultation. It’s a simple process and many patients start treatments within just a few days.

Don’t let the scary thought of braces get in your way of having a beautiful smile. Invisalign is the preferred treatment of the Invisible Man, and it might be right for boo too (We mean you)!
